Taiwan History for dummies: Old Town Taipei
Spend a fun afternoon walking through the interior of what used to be the Old Town of Taipei City and having a taste of both the old and modern culture with a local guide. Starting from the NTU hospital station exit 4, we will head through to the 228 memorial park, passing the presidental office built by the Japanese, then head to the inner city market to see one of the oldest market to taste some traditional beverages. We will stop by the oldest ice cream shop in Taipei to try some exotic flavors such as ginger sesame chicken, pork floss, wasabi, over 70 flavors! Then end the tour in the most hipster place in Taipei, Ximending, taking you to the red house and temple hidden inside the busy streets.
